Ken Smith Conceptologist

Ken Smith is President and Managing Partner of episode49, an online consultancy firm that provides strategic planning as well as web design and development. He provides expertise in applying technological solutions to a variety of industries through business process and objectives analysis. Ken co-founded episode49 in February of 2002 and has directed business operations ranging from personnel management to new business development since that time. Prior to founding episode49, he has held the positions of Vice President of Development and Director of Development at other technical and business consulting firms around Chattanooga.
Ken is the face of the company and believes strongly in giving back to the community. He recently completed Leadership Chattanooga 2009 and remains active in the program by serving on the curriculum committee and facilitating several of the events for upcoming classes. Ken dedicates much of his personal time in support of educational focused organizations such as Chattanooga's Kids on the Block and RE:START - The Center for Adult Education. He is also an active volunteer in many schools including Normal Park Museum Magnet and the Center for Creative Arts.
Ken is also active in the political arena. He consults regularly with political campaigns and committees, advocacy groups and non-profit organizations. In this area, Ken served as eCampaign Advisor to the Fred Thompson Presidential and Bobby Jindal Gubernatorial campaigns. He has served on entrepreneurial and political panels from Chattanooga to Washington, D.C. This work has been recognized nationally with Ken being profiled by business journals and magazines, including the Tennessee Business Journal and Inc. Magazine, as well as numerous local and national newspapers.
Raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and Edmond, Oklahoma, Ken now lives with his wife and two children in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He married Cinnamon, his childhood sweetheart, in 2004 at the carousel in Coolidge Park after convincing her to leave the incredible city of Austin, Texas. They take advantage of every opportunity to travel abroad and enjoy experiencing the diversity of other cultures.
